Infrastructure Architect

Position 1 Infrastructure Architect for decommission

  • To support the project manager to ensure that the decommissioning of the existing services will not leave any gaps as the new services are enabled.  Must have good technical generalist skills, confident and capable to probe any technical area, drawing on support from subject mater experts as required.  Must also have strong communications / client facing skills.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineer
  • Already performed such role in a similar industry and has performed an end to end IT Infrastructure design
  • Good command of spoken and written english
  • Leadership and good communication skills.
  • Experience working in diverse matrix organization and team members from different nationality and culture.
  • At least 12 years in IT Industry and 2-3 years as IT Infrastructure Architect role.
  • Prefer industry - Banks or Telco

Position 2 Infrastructure Architect for End User Integration

  • This is a job for a strong technical leader with experience in the end user / desktop area.  The candidate can be based anywhere for a global account and some travel will be required.
  • Integration Architect for the End User domain:  includes workstation platform, s/w distribution, active directory, email and file server services, and the back-end servers/solutions that support these functions.
  • Technically responsible for all aspects of the service:  including transformation, technical health of the BAU organisation, and future evolution / strategy
  • Technical leader for a team of 6-8 architects/specialists driving the migration
  • Liaison with end user support teams from different business unit to provide technical guidance to local support teams.

Technical Support Representative (Technical Support Hardware Engineer)

 

Requirements:

Job Description:

-    Perform in depth technical analysis on issues reported on Point of sales system, Kiosk and peripherals hardware from countries across Asia Pacific
-    Collaborate with various related teams from local technical, development and engineering teams to provide solution for customer
-    Analyze existing and initiate improvement on support process, tools, infrastructure and other related ares..
-    Perform onsite support for critical problem if necessary
-    Interlock with local team and customers on product improvement
         
Pre-requisites:
 -  Diploma or Degree in Computer Science/ Computer engineering/ Electronic Engineering/ Information Technology with min 2 year experience in. Fresh degree holders are welcome to apply
 -  Strong foundation on PC hardware architecture,  IO peripherals
 -  Experience in DOS, Windows OS and Linux
 -  Good knowledge on network
-   Process good analytical and problem solving skills
-   Passionate about customer support and have strong drive towards achieving solution
-   Occasional travel may be required for urgent and critical support assignment
 -  Strong communication, presentation and writing using English. Other Asian languages especially Japanese language will be a plus.

 To provide technical support management for IBM Software related issues. The person must be able to provide sound recommendation on how best to provide problem identification and resolution for customer.

 Key responsibilities

1.        help manage customer pmr resolution process
2.        Help customer understand and better provide required information to IBM support
3.        provide frequent updates on the resolution activities
4.        escalate issues handling within the IBM support channel
5.        provide proactive advise on customer support operations
6.        Work with customer to activate onsite support when required.

 Primary Skills required

1) good technical knowledge of Websphere Portal, WAS and high level knowledge on other IBM SW technology2) good in project management and SW support management
3) understanding of the IBM SW support process
4) able to coordinate resolution team
5) Good communication skills
6) Very dilligent in documentation and tracking
7) Proactive in engaging customer for issues.
8) Able to work flexi hours (even at night when required).
